The ideal time for a maternity session is between 28-36 weeks of pregnancy. At this stage, your belly is beautifully round, but you’re still comfortable enough to move around and pose. If you’re expecting twins, I recommend scheduling your session a bit earlier, around 24-28 weeks.

The best time to schedule a newborn session is within the first 5-14 days of your baby’s life. During this time, newborns are still very sleepy and typically more settled during the session.

The sessions will be held in my studio located in Rutherford, which offers a cozy and welcoming environment designed specifically for newborn photography. The studio is equipped with soft lighting and various props to create beautiful, timeless images.

Absolutely! Including your partner and children can add a lot of meaning to your maternity photos. I encourage family members to participate in a few shots, as it helps tell the full story of this special time. We can capture both individual and group photos to create a variety of moments.

Each gallery will include 30 or more carefully edited images. Each photo is selected to showcase a variety of poses, expressions, and details from your newborn session. I focus on providing a mix of individual shots of your baby, as well as any family or sibling photos you may have requested.

The Free maternity session lasts 20 minutes.

Absolutely! I love capturing the whole family during a newborn session. We can start with family and sibling shots before moving on to individual photos of your newborn. 

I provide a selection of newborn outfits and wraps, so you don’t need to bring much. However, if you have any special items like a family heirloom or favorite blanket, feel free to bring them! Also, if bub has a dummy it would be great to pack that too as it can help to soothe them. 

Simple, neutral clothing works best during a newborn session. Soft, light colours like whites, creams, and pastels complement the gentle nature of newborn photography and keep the focus on your baby. Avoid clothing with logos or busy patterns, as they can be distracting. I also have a selection of dresses for mum to wear during the session. (sizes 8-18)

Newborns are unpredictable, and it’s completely normal for them to fuss or need breaks for feeding and soothing. I plan for extra time to accommodate this, and I’m very patient with your little one. I’ve worked with babies for years, and I’ll do everything to ensure a calm, relaxed environment.

It’s important not to put any pressure on older children to pose for the camera, as this can sometimes backfire. Our session is meant to be fun and relaxed, allowing us to capture genuine, joyful moments.

Talking about me ahead of time can help your toddler feel more at ease. Mention my name and let them know they’ll have a great time playing and snuggling with their new baby sibling. This helps create a sense of familiarity before they arrive.

After your session, I carefully edit each image to create a beautiful gallery. This process usually takes around 2-3 weeks. Once your photos are ready, I’ll send you a link to an online gallery where you can view, and download your images. I also provide a sneak peek of your photos within a few days of your session.

Maternity sessions will include 20 or more and newborn sessions will include 40+ carefully edited images. Each photo is selected to showcase a variety of poses, expressions, and details from your newborn session. I focus on providing a mix of individual shots of your baby, as well as any family or sibling photos you may have requested.

All bookings are final and non-refundable. However, if needed and depending on availability, I can transfer your session to another date, person or service.

You can reschedule up to 3 days before your session if something comes up.
